Where Am I Supposed To Find A Tall Person Tie Anyway?

Friday, July 13, 2018
Hello! Morgan again.

When Andy and I got married, we wanted to dress fancy and comfortable. So our wedding style was dark jeans + cowboy boots meets vest + collared shirt.

We went back and forth on whether Andy and the groomsmen should have ties, bow ties, or nothing. As you can see above, we ended up with neither, but I found a few great websites and some helpful information in the process.

Ties can be a little pricey, but the fabric and weight can make a difference. Don't get a super cheap tie, especially if you plan to wear it regularly.

I found the following info for choosing your tie size on LongTieStore.org
63-inch Ties are best for men 6'0" to 6'5".
Men with large neck (size 18+) should wear extra long ties.
70-inch Ties are best for men 6'6" and taller.
Men 6'4" and taller with large necks or those who like to tie larger knots should also wear 70-inch ties.

The ties on LongTieStore.org are $30 each and have great selection with easy navigation!

Another site I found that has long ties is KingSizeDirect.com
I didn't like their site as much though and their ties were $35 each. BUT they have more than just ties and I found some great sales there!

What about you? We know you feel the struggle. Where do you find your ties?

Honey, Where Are My... Paaaants?

Friday, May 4, 2018
Whoa! Hey again!

It's me, Morgan. First of all, have you seen the lego movie? Because if not, you probably didn't understand the title of this post. Check this 9 second video out on YouTube to catch up.

Haha! Makes me laugh every time. It's so ridiculous. Okay, now that you've had a laugh, let's dive in! Where do you get your tall skinny pants?

Andy's mom used to buy him extra long pants from thrift stores and sew the ends up to where they needed to be. When he grew, she would just let them out a little until he grew out of them entirely.

Now, I want give props to her for doing that, but not only do I not have a sewing machine or the skill set to hem in pants, but I also just don't have a desire to. And with all the resources you can find online, it's just not necessary anymore.

Our favorite place to shop for jeans and khakis is Old Navy. They have a nice Tall section under Men and Women. You can go in and choose your sizes. Andy is a 32 waist, 36 length. Unfortunately, this is the longest they have, but it's enough for him.

Old Navy has a great website layout that's easy to use and they have the availability. Other websites I've been to will say they have a Tall section, but it seems to be only for Big & Tall, not for Tall Skinny People. And if they do have anything, you have to sift through tons of products because their sorting options don't include what you need.

So where do you buy your tall skinny pants?
