Friday, June 8, 2018
Hey this is Andy!
Before you ask, let me answer the 15 most popular questions I get.
1) How tall are you?
I'm 6’7”.
2) Do you play basketball?
Yes! And also mini golf...
3) Did you play in college?
No, but I did play in high school. And now I play in the mornings before work.
4) Are your parents really tall?
No, my Dad’s about 6’1”.
5) So where did your height come from?
The mailman... just kidding! In reality, we don’t know. I’m just crazy tall.

8) My brother/son/cousin/person-I-barely-know is also very tall.

She’s 5’7”. She’s tall without being crazy tall.
10) I bet your kids are going to be tall!
Yes, all 10 of them. I’m planning to have a basketball team. 5 sets of twins, so they all have someone to practice with! Just kidding, we’ll probably have 2.
11) Were you always super tall?
I was always taller than everyone else. I was 6’1” going into my freshman year of high school and 6’4” at the end of that summer.

14) What do you do for a living?
I’m a mechanical engineer. My company designs and installs HVAC systems in skyscrapers and high rises all over Atlanta. I work with customers to generate an estimate on what they need and what it will cost.
15) I bet you get these questions a lot.
More than you know.

The #1 Question Tall People Get Asked
Friday, May 11, 2018
Hey friend; you're back!
It's Morgan again.
"Do you play basketball?"
If my husband had a quarter for every time he got asked this question, we'd be SO rich!
In college, Andy worked at a fast food restaurant. Corporate sent in a man to talk to the employees about avoiding stereotyping customers. He gave some examples like, "All cops eat donuts," and "You throw like a girl."
When he asked for suggestions from the employees, Andy said, "All tall people play basketball." Everyone nodded and they moved on. But as they started paying attention to how many times customers would ask, it became a running joke.
Andy did play basketball in high school and he still plays basketball with some friends on Fridays. They get up super early and play before work.
I'm only 5'7" (a foot shorter than Andy), so I don't get this question anymore, but I used to. When I was in high school, I grew a lot in a short amount of time and it made it's way onto the most popular questions I got asked.
My answer, however is no. I didn't even start to like basketball until I met Andy. He and his family are huge Kentucky Wildcat fans and now I can proudly say that I am too!
How about you? Do you play basketball?
Go Do Great Things!
